Breed: Blanc de Hotot
Description: The type of the Hotot is much more thickset than the Bouscat, giving the rabbit a squarish look. It is also a little smaller, measuring between eight and 10 inches in length.
The blanc de Hotot also originated in France, but it is much less well known than the Bouscat. In general, the texture and quality of the fur are very similar to the Bouscat with the exception that the Hotot has black eyelashes and a very fine black line around the eyes in the form of spectacles. Little is known of how the breed was produced, but it is almost certainly an old breed that was used for its meat qualities.
